Daley (born 29 September 1989) is a British singer and songwriter from Manchester, signed to Universal Republic Records. His sound combines soulful vocals and songwriting with hip hop and experimental production and has previously been described as 'Future Throwback Soul'. His debut UK single is 'Remember Me' featuring Jessie J. The music video was released on VEVO on 26th October 2012.
Over the last few years Daley has been building a reputation for himself around the UK, showcasing his trademark melodic vocal style, flair for songwriting and vocal arrangement, and is currently writing his debut album.
Daley's music was originally picked up by BBC Radio DJs Ras Kwame, MistaJam, Ronnie Herel, Jo Whiley and by Sam Walker at BBC Introducing in Manchester.
His vocals are featured on the single "Doncamatic" by Gorillaz, released in the UK on 22 November 2010 and added to a re-release of the album Plastic Beach. In an interview with NME, Daley states that he and Damon Albarn co-wrote the single.
In August 2011, Daley released his ten track Those Who Wait mixtape/EP worldwide and has to date had over 100,000 downloads.
The first song to be released was "Game Over" produced by ELEMENT and written by Daley.
Other key tracks from Those Who Wait included; "Smoking Gun", the first from the mixtape to receive a full music video "Alone Together", a duet with the Grammy Award nominated UK singer Marsha Ambrosius, with a music video released in February 2012.
In an interview with Digital Spy on 23 November, Daley confirmed that the album was near to completion, and that it was slated for release in Spring/Summer 2013. On 4 January 2013, the album's title was confirmed to be Days & Nights.[
